Christine Billstein graduated from Lund’s Institute of Technology in the 1980’s as Master of Science in Chemical Engineering.

Christine has worked within the food industry for 20 years. The main employers have been Kraft General Foods and Unilever. The positions held were, among others, product developer, flavourist, process engineer, assistant product manager and technical sales support manager.

The move from the food industry to packaging material and closures was 15 years ago when Christine joined Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions AB. Within Tetra Pak several positions have been held such as product/process engineer, system engineer and material specialist.

Today the focus is on material characterisation and requirements on polymers based on performance in the production and for the end consumer (opening performance and environment).
