In 2009 Kevin joined CMAI (which was acquired by IHS Markit in 2011) and is currently the Associate Director for Polyolefins in the EMEA region. In his current role he works with a broad cross section of industry to help companies achieve a deeper understanding of the plastics markets to maximise their profitability and success. The clients he works with cover the entire plastics value chain and include the major global polyolefin producers, multi-national brand owners, international polymer distributors, convertors as well as a number of European Plastics Associations. He is also a regular contributor to consulting projects which cover topics ranging from supplier sourcing, regional market analysis to international trade of polymers.

Kevin’s journey into the plastics world began 20 years ago when he completed his studies at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. His first foray into industry was at the Aliaxis Group in the UK, where he worked as a process engineer responsible for running a mould shop with more than 40 machines. At his next role at the British Plastics Federation he worked on developing the innovation capabilities of UK polymer SME’s by securing funding from the European Union to create of a raft of projects with EU partners on themes such as sustainability and recycling as well as enhanced processing and analytical techniques for polymers.
