Born in Belgium in 1967, Filip Vangeel graduated as a chemical engineer (Msc) in 1992. Following his military service as a non-commissioned officer in the Belgian army, Filip Vangeel joined Procter & Gamble’s packaging development department in 1994. As a Senior Scientist, he played a leading role in developing various well-known regional and global packaging projects and introducing them to the market. Filip Vangeel is an award winning packaging expert, who filed a great number of patents in his field. Since mid 2018, he has taken the position of Manager Circular Economy at the Belgian EPR company Valipac, where he will build structures to help the industry transition towards a circular plastics economy.
